It is known as Cobalamin and the function of vitamin B 12 is neeed in the process of converting the fats , carbohydrates , proteins from our food into energy . Other than that , vitamin B 12 also helps to keep the red blood cells remains healthy so that the risk of having heart disease is minimal . Our body can only absorb about half of the vitamin B 12 that is consumed and our body also can recycle the vitamin B 12 which can cuts down on the impact of a vitamin B 12 deficiency . For those who are vegetarians or vegans , they need vitamin B 12 supplements in their life .

There are a few symptoms in our body if we lack of vitamin B 12 . One of them is anemia .
